Our warehousing, printing, and manufacturing partners are located in: The USA, Canada, The UK, Asia, and Europe

When you place an order there are two parts that happen that make up how long it will be before your item arrives.

  • Order Fulfillment (also known as Processing or Handling time): this is the time it takes on the warehouse/manufacturer side – to receive the order, create and/or pull the product from the inventory, pack the item, getting it ready to ship, getting export/import papers ready and filed, contacting the shipping carrier for pick up or delivering the parcel to the shipping carrier, and to ship the item out.
    1. Each partner we use, we use for certain items we design that can only be created with their cooperation and expertise. All of our in house original designs from Bearded Yeti Coalition, Stinklefinch, 6 Beauties, and Willow Rock Handcrafted, are manufactured and printed on demand.
    2. Different products utilize different methods of creation. The methods we have chosen to use are Direct to Garment Printing, Cut & Sew custom garment creation and printing, and Sublimation Printing.
      1. Each process has a different Order Fulfillment time. Direct to Garment and Sublimation are faster 2-5 days and Cut & Sew 2-7 days
      2. Some products take longer to print/manufacture than others according to the processes complexity. The longest order fulfillment time is still only 5-7 days
    3. Non manufactured items will have 1 – 5 days processing/handling time on avg, according to the warehouse/manufacturing set up.
  • Shipping: This is the time it takes to actually move the product from point A (the manufacturing facility/warehouse) to point B You the wonderful person who purchased the product.
    1. Shipping times are influenced by the Point of origin, Point of reception, and Shipping method/carrier used. For example if the shipping destination is in the US and the ship from address is in the US some products might have a 1 to 5 day ship time while others coming from international origins may take 7 to 20 or on the rare occasion 30 days to arrive. (But please know we will dissolve the relationship with an international manufacture that cannot consistently deliver in under 20 days to the US and UK.)Or if the shipping destination is Germany some products could take as long as 30+ days to arrive. Trust me though the wait is worth it and you can track all shipments online.
    2. Shipping times are also influenced by customs both on the exporting side as well as the importing side when the point of origin is outside the country of the point of reception IE international shipping. This is the real reason things take longer from an international origin. Here’s a break down of how that time accrues:Manufacture to Port: After orders are packed and shipped from the manufacture they arrive at the port of origin for export. Orders have to be checked, prepped, and paperwork approved for export, before the airlines/shipping container can take it on board. This usually doesn’t take much time. Most products will leave the country of origin within a few days and a week at most.Travel Time: The actual travel time it takes for a package to go from one country to the next can range from 2 to 5 days. The same it takes a person to travel on an economy flight with a layover or two. Of course random extreme weather or mechanical breakdown may cause unexpected delays but that is rare.Port of Entry Customs: Products coming into the US or UK generally pass through customs quickly and painlessly 95% of the time, 2 to 4 days. This is due to the massive facilities and protocols these counties have for processing packages. But not all countries have this capacity and can take substantially longer to process packages thru customs. Like products/packages coming into Egypt can be stuck in the customs limbo for 2 to 5 weeks or more. It all depends on the country.

Ship time to final Destination: From the port of entry/customs the final shipping time to be added in is the time it takes to go from the port to your house. This depends on where/which port the package came in and how far that is from your house. In the US shipping zones range from 1 to 5 days.

Of course these times are just estimations and only for informational purposes to help you understand how the international shipping process works. Its our experience that most deliveries arrive at your doorstep on the quick side of the spectrum but as you can see there are plenty of places the package can be delayed. Hence the wide range for delivery time estimates.

For the sake of transparency and creating honest expectations for our customers the point of origin and the associated shipping time estimates will always be prominently displayed in the product description. We absolutely understand as online consumers ourselves the importance clear communication and managing expectations of when the product will arrive and will it be as awesome I think it will be.

How much will the shipping cost?

Shipping cost:

Shipping cost is influenced by the same factors as the shipping time. Where the product originates, where is the final destination, what carriers are available, the size and weight of the product being shipped, and if you want to pay extra for quicker delivery times.

We have worked out some good deals with different carriers to get better shipping prices. And unlike some other places we aren’t trying to make profit from shipping charges.

I always hate when I find a good price for something and then at check out see shipping is 3 times more than the product I want to buy. That’s an instant cart abandonment right there as well as a blacklisted seller in my book.

We try to offer free shipping where and when we can on different products but it’s just not possible for us to offer it on everything at the moment.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes oh my

Taxes and VAT: Yes, sales tax and VAT will be charged when necessary. This will sometimes be charged at your door if the package has arrived from outside your country. The same as customs or duties work. The laws with eCommerce and local taxes continue to evolve and mature. As of right now we do not charge any tax/vat on our products if that status changes we will let you know.

Customs: Any time a product is shipped internationally a customs or duties fee is levied. If you are receiving a product that is shipped from outside of your country – by one of our international partners then it is possible you may encounter a customs/duties fee at your door upon delivery. The customs/duties tax threshold and charges are different for every county. I did some research for you and cobbled together a list of different countries official customs duty fees and thresholds. It for sure is incomplete but will help if you are interested in finding out what those fees might be. Click here for the list.

Just to give you an idea here are some examples off the top of my head.

(This is for informational purposes and not in any way an official. You need to do your own due diligence to find the correct information on customs and duties for your country by clicking the link above or searching online)

For the US the threshold is $800 so any single package/order that is less than $800 is not subject to customs/duties fees. Although there are some items that are taxed no matter the value but nothing that we sell falls into that category.

I believe in the UK the threshold is really low. Something like 120 pounds. Of course some 2nd and 3rd world countries just seem to charge you whatever they feel like. If you live in one of those places then you know what I mean.

There is no way for us to know what they will be for every possible country/product combination being an international retailer. So its up to you to do the research on that part and to be prepared.

Here’s the legal stuff I have to include so my lawyers don’t freak out.

Disclaimer: Pearson Enterprises LLC. or any of our subsidiaries we Do Business As including but not limited to –  Willow Rock Trading Co. & Bearded Yeti Coalition is no way responsible for any customs or duties due at the time of delivery. It is the sole responsibility of the client/consumer to research, understand, and pay the required fees upon delivery.

If you want to see more of that kind of legal ease check out the Policies, Terms of service, Privacy, and Refund policy pages

In Conclusion:

I know it seems like a lot to take in and very complex, and it is on our end, but we do all the heavy lifting on our end figuring out the logistics so you don’t have to worry about it. The only thing you have to remember is the whole customs thing.

Even with that we won’t leave you hanging. Every product on our site will clearly state in the description the Shipping origin, est. Order Fulfillment time, and est. Shipping time and in the cart the shipping . That way you will have all the information you need to make the purchase with confidence.
